Claiming Spaces for Youth in Political Participation
Claiming Spaces for Youth in Political Participation strengthened meaningful youth engagement in governance by creating opportunities for intergenerational learning, mentorship and civic dialogue. The project connected veteran and emerging activists through storytelling and movement building, enabling young people to learn from past democratic struggles, understand contemporary governance challenges and actively champion constitutional values, civic freedoms and democratic participation.
Ukumbi wa Demokrasia
Ukumbi wa Demokrasia created spaces for dialogue and civic engagement to challenge divisive politics, strengthen social cohesion and promote issue-based democratic participation. Through youth-led conversations, civic education and movement building, the project encouraged young people to reflect on Kenya's democratic journey, understand the links between governance, equality and social justice and champion a more united, inclusive and accountable society.
Usanii Uwazi na Uwajibikaji
Usanii Uwazi na Uwajibikaji harnessed the power of creative arts to strengthen youth participation in promoting transparency, accountability and good governance. Through artistic expression, creative advocacy and public engagement, the project empowered young people to raise awareness of social justice issues, stimulate public dialogue and inspire collective action for more accountable and responsive governance.
KenSafeSpace
KenSafeSpace promoted a safe, secure and inclusive digital environment where young people could exercise their rights to freedom of expression, privacy and access to information. Through digital literacy, cybersecurity awareness and the responsible use of digital technologies, the project strengthened the capacity of young people, civil society and media actors to engage safely online, counter mis- and disinformation and safeguard digital civic space.
